Return & Exchange Policy
RETURN & EXCHANGE POLICY
1. Exchange requests are to reach us via email within 5 days from the
date item is posted.
2. SMS and MSN notices are not accepted.
3. Exchange items must reach us within 5 days from the date the exchange
request is made.
4. Exchange is allowed only for item with genuine manufacture defect or
request to change size. (Size change requests are only applicable only
for Large Size
Items).
5. All exchange requests are subjected to the stocks availability.
6. Strictly no exchange will be allowed if the Mela-Co tag is removed
or item has been washed/wet/used/damaged/altered/dirtied in any way.
7. Postage cost (i.e postage fee, Registered Mail , Courier or Speedpost
charges ) will not be returned in any case of refunds
8. Any balance from the exchange can be used as credit. This can be use
to offset your next purchase.
9. Defects exchange requests must be accompanied by zoom in image of the
defective area. Defective area must be shown clearly in the photo.
10. In order to recover the packaging costs, we will impose a $3.00
administration fee per item returned for
all exchanges.
Following reasons are not considered manufacture defects thus not valid
as exchange requests:
1. Change of mind after purchase.
2. Slight difference in the shade of colour, thread fray ends, wrinkles,
slight misalignment of seams.
3. Difference in inner lining for bags. Bags may come in either a plain
colored or floral print lining.
4. Minor stains (especially on light colour clothes) eg. washable stains,
smudges and dirt
5. Sizing issues for free size items
6. Claiming that the cutting of clothes is not good.
7. Deliberate damage of clothes such that it will warrant an exchange.
How is the Exchange done?
Exchanges are to be done only via Mail (No meet ups will be conducted)
a. Customers with such requests should send their email requests to sales@mela-co.com,
indicating their reasons/requests, name & the invoice number.
b. Clear photographs of the defect area or item must be forwarded with
their email requests.
c. We will request customers to return the item via mail.
d. Customers are to ensure that they mail out the item asap so that it
can reach us no later then 5 days from the date their requests are made.
e. Once we received the item, we will investigate the claim.
f. Once checked and ensured that the item abides to our exchange policy,
we will send out the new item for the exchange or process any refunds.
g. Customers can make their requests to exchange but it will be subjected
to our stocks availability.
h. All postage charges involved are to be borne by the customers.
i. A top-up is necessary if balance is not enough to offset the new postages.
j. Exchange process will take around 2 weeks (returning of item to us
- verification - mailing out new item to you).
